You won’t have the video explanations, but for serious students of the instrument, or for ‘old school’ learners, the written page is available here in the original book version, Groove Technique and Musical Drumming. I will teach you how to look at the drums from two different perspectives: technique and groove. In part 1, “Technique”, I begin with the physicality of drumming; the rudiments, phrases and motions we use to create our language of rhythm, working from beginner to advanced. In part 2, “Groove”, you get into playing beats, different styles of music, interpretation and musicality. As you progress though both these parts simultaneously, you’ll begin applying one to the other.

Groove, Technique and Musical Drumming is not one of those books with page after page of rudiments, or 1001 rock beats. The method instead works to give you the skeleton keys for unlocking and releasing the drummer within you.

I believe you will develop both an extensive drumming vocabulary and a true feel for music on the drum set, resulting in a satisfying means of personal expression on your chosen instrument.
